šŸ˜ 🪨 Biochar is beautiful 🪨 šŸ˜

šŸ’š Like so many of you, I was in awe of the beautiful Carbon Phoenix, a biochar installation made by talented artisan and environmentalist Benjamin Von Wong in partnership with the social enterprise Wongphai I BIOCHAR I BambooPlus and Planboo in Rachaburi, hashtag#Thailand.

āœ… This project hits all the right boxes: community-led, raising awareness, economic empowerment, and of course… biochar carbon removal (hashtag#BCR).

šŸ’” The giant bird is brought to life using 4 tons of carbon - the carbon footprint of the average person produced every year (mine and likely yours is much higher…). I found this piece of art a captivating and tangible way to capture this message.

šŸ“½ We need to create compelling stories and images to expand the crucial message of carbon dioxide removal (hashtag#CDR) beyond our bubble. I believe art like this one or films like the upcoming the upcoming hashtag#Legion44 and the hashtag#BiocharEffect offer other great platforms.

⁉ What do you think? How do we get the message to the wider masses?
