š¶ Momentum has been building for months in Europe's biggest economy. Today, another major breakthrough: money on the table!
The details:
1ļøā£ ā¬111m for CDR in 2026, of which ā¬98m for projects, ā¬11.5m for direct public procurement, and ā¬2m for administrative costs.
2ļøā£ ā¬320m for CDR between 2027-2033, in a sliding scale starting with ā¬90m in 2027
3ļøā£ ā¬45m for soil carbon specifically in 2026
š„ Boom! That is the leadership we need! Testament to the role that CDR is hopefully going to play over the coming years under the current government.
ā Tomorrow, July 30th, the Cabinet is expected to pass this budget and clear the way for a step-change for CDR in Germany.
š Huge shout-out to the team at Deutscher Verband für negative Emissionen e.V. (DVNE), who has worked tirelessly for years creating the foundation for this progress.
𤩠Great times ahead and your good piece of news for the day. Auf geht's!
