📈 This FOA is part of the Carbon Negative Shot (#CNS), an all-hands-on-deck call for innovation in CDR pathways that will capture CO2 from the atmosphere and store it at gigaton scale for less than $100/net metric ton of carbon dioxide-equivalent.

Three eligible areas of interest:

🌱 Small Biomass Carbon Removal and Storage (BiCRS) Pilots: up to $7m for up to 5 projects

🪨 Small Mineralization Pilots: up to $4m for up to 10 projects

🌍 Multi-Pathways CDR Testbed Facilities: up to $5m for up to 5 projects

📅 Key dates:

--> Submissions due: April 16th 2024

--> Selection notification: August 2024

--> Award given: January 2025

😍 Very exciting times ahead! Incredible to see the amount of funding and momentum coming out of the DoE’s Department Fossil Energy and Carbon Management (hashtag#FECM). This is exactly the type of market signal the industry needs and will be wind in the sails of the flourishing CDR ecosystem in the U.S.
