🚧 Let me *lay the land* for you: According to the IPCC, the building sector is responsible for around 21% of global greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and the production of building materials make up the bulk of those indirect emissions (almost 95%).
🏗️ CDR technologies embedded within construction products can *pave the way forward* as a promising approach to storing CO2 and reducing construction emissions. There are some innovative companies showcasing innovations in carbon-negative materials and other solutions aimed at reducing the sector’s carbon footprint.
🇪🇸 That’s why I’m headed to Madrid next month for the CarbonZero Alternative Fuels and Raw Materials Global Conference and Exhibition to really *dig into* how cement and construction can adapt to a rapidly evolving carbon-conscious marketplace.
👋 If you’re there, come say “hola”.
*Puns absolutely intended
