1ļøāƒ£ It kicks off later today with discussions by the EU ParliamentĀ“s Environment, Public Health and Food Safety (#ENVI) committee on the final draft of the Carbon Removal Certification Framework (#CRCF).Ā

The final vote will be tomorrow Tuesday 24th from 9.30am - full agenda hereĀ šŸ‘€


2ļøāƒ£ Then on the 25th and 26th, the EU Commission will be hosting a workshop on industrial carbon removal methodologies in the CRCF, including biochar carbon removal (#BCR) and enhanced weathering (#EW).Ā

āž” This week will give us a good sense of the direction of the CRCF, arguably the most important CDR legislation in the EU today. Given recent developments, I am not too hopeful about the ENVI vote which puts even higher expectations on the EU CommissionĀ“s Expert Group to advance the discussion on inclusive, tech-agnostic permanent CDR.
