😮 Woah! Last night I attended the Europe premiere of Legion 44, the world’s first big documentary on CDR, screened on a 600 square meters mega screen in Nuremberg.
💚 Beyond the epic images, the feeling I was left with was hope: witnessing the passion, energy, and commitment of all these talented young entrepreneurs, literally moving mountains to preserve this beautiful planet we all share.
🤝 The film does a great job at showing that CDR is already happening, right now, all across the world. It is a desperately needed industry that will have to grow to become one of humanity’s largest in a matter of decades.
😍 I particularly enjoyed the Q&A session after the film, where an audience largely new to CDR challenged us on policy, the role of O&G, financing, and what each individual can and should be doing. This is my biggest hope for this film: getting the wider public to understand CDR and start to act on it.
➡️ Curious? Keen to watch the film yourself? I’ve got some good news for you: you will be able to rent Legion 44, alongside a small purchase of CDR, during the Christmas period. The perfect gift for your friends and family, or even for your work Christmas party.
🙏 A HUGE thanks to one of my CDR superstars, without whom many CDR initiatives (including last night and this film) would not have happened: Dirk Paessler. And then big congrats to the Legion 44 team around Leila Conners who made this happen: Fabian Nilsson, Paulina Villalonga, and Mathew Schmid for making such a wonderful, historic film.
👏 Finally, well done to all the film’s protagonists. You were amazing: James Mwangi, Bilha Ndirangu, Martin Freimüller, Duncan Kariuki, Hannes Junginger, Matthias Ansorge, Noah McQueen, Max Zeller, Benjamin Schulz, Peter Minor, Anu Khan, Christoph Gebald, Shashank Samala, Jan Wurzbacher, Ralf Steffens, Mary Yap, Claire Nelson, Maurice Bryson, and the many, many others.
💪 Time to join the Legion!
