✨ Dream job alert: Are you ready to lead the European carbon removal industry?

🇪🇺 The Negative Emissions Platform - Europe’s trade association for CDR - is looking for a new Secretary General to start on January 1st 2027.

 💎 This is a rare gem: Europe is the epicentre of carbon removal policy globally. Few organisations are as well placed to shape CDR’s future than NEP. It is the oldest CDR association in the world, with a strong track record, brand, networks, and team. 

🤝 Your job is to take all of that and lead the organisation into this exciting future: ETS integration, member state targets, buyers coalition, CRCF - all of that will need strong industry input and leadership.

😎 We - disclosure: I am on the NEP Board - are looking for an EU (ideally Climate) Policy expert, based in or around Brussels, with experience leading an organisation and teams. A rockstar communicator, who doesn’t mind getting their hands dirty.

🇪🇺 Pay: €150,000 - €170,000 per year.

👏 At this point, I would also like to take the opportunity to personally thank the current Secretary General Chris Sherwood for his service to NEP and the CDR ecosystem over the last four years.

🌐 Chris took a young, fledgling organisation and turned NEP into what it is today. He also - probably like no other - built coalitions: between trade associations and, most notably, for COP30, resulting in the first ever CDR Pavilion.
