❗ No Net Zero Without Nuclear ❗

⚡ Something remarkable is happening in energy. The technology that environmentalists spent decades fighting is suddenly everywhere.
☢️ Microsoft, Google, Amazon and Meta have collectively contracted for over 13 gigawatts of nuclear power. Global nuclear generation hit a record high in 2025 and is set to keep climbing. Investment in nuclear has risen 50% in five years and is expected to exceed $70 billion in 2025 alone.
🔄 The nuclear narrative is changing rapidly, alongside its role in reaching net zero.
🌟 Few people understand the complexity of this topic as much as Zion Lights.
✊ Four years ago she was a spokesperson for Extinction Rebellion and one of Britain's most visible climate activists. Today she is one of the world's leading voices for nuclear energy, and she's clear-eyed about what the environmental movement's decades-long opposition actually cost us.
🔥 In this episode of Uncomfortable Climate, I will sit down with Zion to pose some hard questions to her:
➡️ Is the anti-nuclear movement directly responsible for locking in decades of fossil fuels?
➡️ What does it actually take to publicly change your mind, and get attacked by the side you used to be on?
➡️ Is nuclear energy actually safe? Is it cost efficient? And what about the waste problem?
😬 This one won't be comfortable, and that is precisely the point.
💬 Feel free to add your own questions and perspectives in the comments. I will make sure to include them into our discussion.
