🎀 She’s already got me wrapped around her (my) finger

🤨 Like many millennials, I seriously questioned having a child. Why put a human into a world that might become unlivable within our lifetimes?

🏳️ But what I realised, is that deep down, this is admitting defeat, resigning myself to a future I cannot accept.

🌍 As a serial optimist, I want to believe in a world where my daughter will be able to enjoy this beautiful planet the way I did growing up: playing in deep snow, foraging for mushrooms in the forest, and marveling at mountain wildlife.

✊ So, we need to fight harder than ever. And what more motivation than doing so for your own children?

👶 It will be a bit more quiet than usual here, learning the ropes as a first time parent. I will still be doing the CDR Policy Scoop and - who knows - my daughter might even join me for one.

⁉️ Now back to the most important question: will “biochar” be her first word?
