𤊠I am still buzzing from yesterdayâs epic CDR Policy Scoop Showdown Special: Biochar vs DAC.
đ Votes aside, I think we can all agree that the actual âwinnerâ of this whole thing was the wider hashtag#CDR community. You all came together in record numbers (over 1,000 attendees registered, almost 400 live viewers) and were firing amazing points and questionsâover 241 to be exact in 30 mins.
𦸠While I may be known in some circles as âMr Biocharâ, I think what became clear yesterday is that Martin FreimĂźller absolutely crushed itâand dare I sayâcould be⌠DAC-man.
đ I know I took the biochar corner in this fight, but now I want to take this opportunity to profess my love for DAC:
đ¤ I genuinely believe there's no other durable CDR technology with scaling potential which can parallel DAC in the medium to long-term. To achieve it, we do need significant investments - public and private - in the short-term, just what Martin was arguing.
𫶠As such, dear DAC-cionados who follow me, I hope you took yesterdayâs debate in the spirit it was meant to be: Martin and I deliberately making a passionate case for DAC and BCR respectively while teasing the other side. We are not Team Biochar or Team DACâwe are Team CDR.
