💚 This year marks my first Earth Day as a father

👨‍🍼 I have had a lot of “firsts” this year as a new parent. First laugh. First Christmas. First meal. Each new milestone presents an opportunity to take stock and reflect.

😥 Let’s be honest. It’s been a ROUGH year. For the climate, for the world, and certainly for me personally.

🏔️ One solace I have is retreating back to nature. And in these last 9 months, I have spent a lot of time in nature with my daughter - basically daily - sharing my love for the mountains and the sea in our two homes in Portugal and Italy.

🙏 This daily routine has kept me sane (and my wife…). It’s the mindfulness I need to stay grounded.

👊 This Earth Day, more than ever, I am grateful for being able to appreciate the beauty of this planet daily. There is nothing I want more than seeing my daughter grow up to enjoy nature the way I have and am. This is what I fight for every day, even when it feels futile as it so often does these days.
