While I believe governments are the key agents to tackle the climate crisis, I also see the huge potential of collective behavioural change.
🤷♂️ Unfortunately, intentions and actions are often far apart with many studies showing just how little individuals actually change their behaviours.
✅ However, when that change is made ridiculously easy and integrated into our daily routines, most climate conscious individuals will actually do the right thing.
👏 A great example I’ve recently come across is Uber Green. Simply by selecting a different option within the same interface and with the same price, users can select to ride with electric vehicles only. The impact of this simple intervention could be massive.
🤔 So what are our opportunities to implement similar choices/options in carbon dioxide removal (hashtag#CDR)? I’ve been grappling with this for a long time and have yet to find good solutions. The options for individual action, e.g. buying CDR, are still limited and too clunky.
❓ What do you think can be the Uber Green of CDR? How can we make it that easy for individuals to buy CDR?
